We left the holocaust museum and were starving when we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We got here right at 2 pm, and we're surprisingly happy to see that they had happy hour from 2-5pm. Plates consisted of 3 tacos with rice and beans for $10 and nachos for $10 as well. $3 margaritas. It was pretty empty when we arrived and no wait time at all. Put our order in, and within 10 minutes, it was out. The server was extremely polite and gave us recommendations. The inside consisted of a lot of high tabletop seating and bar seating. I def. Recommend checking out this spot if you're craving tacos.

I stopped into this little gem for a snack. I was greeted by a friendly cashier, and immediately began selecting my order on the tablet. I love that they have the traditional street, tacos, and premium tacos to choose from. I also really like that the happy hour and special menu was easily displayed. I'll definitely be back during the week between 2 and 5 PM for a $3.25 margarita!!!! The establishment was very clean, including the bathroom. There was music going in the dining area, but not too loud. There's plenty of space to dine in. My food arrived quickly after sitting down. I ordered one beef street taco, the premium crunchy southern shrimp taco, and an order of churros. As you can see, the street taco isn't pictured it was so good I didn't wait to captured the pic. I enjoy shrimp taco as well, my only con would be that the black beans were not cooked all the way through. The crunch in the beans messed with my experience but the taco was good ! My only other con is I ordered churros with filling and received plan churros. The street tacos are $3.25 and $1.99 on taco Tuesdays. The Premium Taco was $5.25, and the churros were $3.25. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be back. Next time I'll definitely bring my concerns to the cashier. She was very kind and I'm sure she would have corrected the order.

This place is a hidden gem with a Happy Hour! It's a super cute family owned Mexican spot with delicious food, drinks and amazing service. I had the cowboy queso which comes with a scoop of guacamole, black beans and corn in the cheese. It's hard to find really good queso that's actually a good consistency and flavorful. There's is spot on. I also had a lime margarita witch was not lacking flavor or alcohol. It's a small place, the decor is super fresh and welcoming, overall I would highly recommend fot lunch or dinner.

Tejas is one of my favorite spots, the tacos are the truth. Usually get the street beef tacos, salsa and queso! Depending on the type of day a drink. They have been consistent each and every time when coming here. The lady that works there is so nice! Customer service is a plus, is a small spot but enough space to fill your belly up! It's located on the corner so you can't miss it!

This is exactly what I wanted. Whenever I'm in Texas, tacos are something I just crave. By my hotel in downtown, there was probably 20 taco places within two miles and I'm really glad I went to Trejas. I got the beer pulled chicken and the chipotle chicken tacos. They were perfect. Perfect flavors that all compliment each other with tender chicken. I wasn't super hungry when I went here, but man this place was delicious. This place was so flavorful that I'm probably going to go back before I leave. All the tacos are nice and heavy and pop with freshness. If you clicked on this Yelp page you're thinking about it...so stop thinking and go.

Don't be fooled by appearances! It looks like a chain, but inside is delicious authentic and very reasonably priced Mexican food! I enjoyed the street tacos but everything else looked good too.
